We recently brought on several of the Revision Skincare products including their Vitamin C+ serum. This got a discussion going about the differences among our Vitamin C and antioxidant products. We often have clients ask which is the better product….but really it comes down to what issues you want to target and what skin type you have.
Why do you need an antioxidant? Simply put, antioxidants neutralize free radicals which damage your skin and contribute to the signs of aging. Free radicals cause damage to cells, proteins and DNA and this damage can appear as changes in skin color, weakened or saggy skin, and wrinkles. Antioxidants neutralize the free radicals and help protect and prevent from further environmental damage.
Benefits of antioxidants in general:
- Help speed up the skin’s natural repair process
- Inhibit further damage from UV rays
- Act as a preventative for further sun damage
- Help your skin heal faster after laser or microneedling procedures
- Help prevent sunburns
The antioxidants we carry are:
Skin Ceuticals CE Ferulic, Phloretin CF + Silymarin CF
