WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCEDURE?

Your blood will be drawn and spun down in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the valuable platelet-rich plasma (PRP). PRP is then injected into the scalp near the areas with hair loss. We use a Zimmer chiller to help numb the scalp before you are injected which makes the treatment more comfortable. Your injector will massage the scalp to help disburse the PRP. There is no downtime and no one will be able to see that you’ve had a treatment. Patients who benefit the most from PRP therapy undergo a series of treatments at regular intervals to maintain the positive effects of the plasma growth factors.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?

The initial treatment is three sessions, one month apart. Then approximately two maintenance sessions per year are needed to maintain your results. Many of the before and afters on this page show patients who have already entered their maintenance phase.

WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS?

During the first month you will notice that any hair shedding will stop. During the second month you should notice some new regrowth. During the third month you should notice increased thickness and regrowth of hair.
