The law of attraction is a philosophy suggesting that positive thoughts bring positive results into a person’s life, while negative thoughts bring negative outcomes. It is based on the belief that thoughts are a form of energy and that positive energy attracts success in all areas of life, including health, finances, and relationships.
This concept has always been looked at as a spiritual manifestation, but the well-known Human Biologist and Bio-Hacker, Gary Brecka thinks otherwise. He states that there is “a science-based law in the physical Universe, Constructive Interference. It says, that when two wavelengths of equal length meet, the size of the frequency doubles. What this means is you can get energy from conversation. You can get energy from the people around you or they can take energy away from you”. Brecka discovered a research project called the Spane Scale of Emotion where researchers were able to take 25,000 subjects and put them in a room and they were able to measure the frequency leaving the human body. What was discovered was the most powerful frequency to leave the human body: the frequency of authenticity. Authenticity was found to be 4000x more powerful than love.
So what makes us genuinely authentic?
According to Brecka, authenticity happens when your words are truthful and you believe what you are saying.
In 2006, I purchased the book “The Secret”. Along with the rest of the world, I made a vision board. I was determined to make my dreams come to life. Almost three years later, to the day, I had accomplished everything. Including the amount I had hoped to have in my bank account. Here’s my theory on how that occurred: it requires manifestation (of course), risk, and authentic ACTION. I wasn’t going to be successful with any of my lofty goals unless I was genuinely passionate about achieving them. True to myself with how and why I was going to devote this time and energy.
One problem with books such as “The Secret” as well as with some people’s interpretation of the law of attraction is that it suggests it’s the belief that good things will come to us that will bring us all that we desire, without any sort of action behind that belief. It is the optimistic viewpoint that drives proactive behaviors that, in turn, bring optimists such great results in their lives. Optimists don’t receive their benefits from their attitudes alone—it’s the behavior the attitudes inspire that creates real change.
In order for beliefs to affect behavior, it is important to also have things such as:
Authentic Action
- Goals
- Commitment
- Motivation
- Timelines
- Challenges
- Support
Put simply, authenticity means you’re true to your own personality, values, and spirit, regardless of the pressure that you’re under to act otherwise. You’re honest with yourself and with others, and you take responsibility for your mistakes. Your values, ideals, and actions ALL align.
So since it’s the holidays and we are approaching a new year filled with new beginnings, let’s discuss how we can make genuine strides towards achieving success in all relationships we foster. We all want to be loved and feel loved, especially this time of year. What is it that attracts true energy and connection to another person?
Attraction isn’t only about looks. It’s also about a certain primal magnetism. Of course, we can be physically attracted to someone, and that can vary from person to person. But, we are more often drawn to their authentic personality, confidence, and passion. To truly attract that, we must start with being authentic with ourselves.
- Self-reflection: Take time to understand your values, beliefs, strengths, and weaknesses. Reflect on your experiences, preferences, and what truly matters to you.
- Embrace imperfections: Acknowledge that being authentic doesn’t mean being perfect. Embrace your flaws and vulnerabilities as they make you unique.
- Honesty: Be truthful with yourself about your feelings, desires, and aspirations. Avoid pretending to be someone you’re not to fit in or please others.
- Set boundaries: Establish clear boundaries that honor your values and protect your well-being. Saying ‘no’ when necessary is crucial to being authentic.
- Live your truth: Act in accordance with your values and beliefs, even if it means going against societal norms. Express yourself genuinely in your actions, words, and choices.
- Self-acceptance: Embrace and love yourself unconditionally. Accept all aspects of yourself, including the parts you might consider as weaknesses.
- Seek authenticity in all relationships: Surround yourself with people who accept you for who you are and encourage your authenticity. Foster connections where you can be yourself without fear of judgment.
Remember, authenticity is an ongoing journey that requires self-awareness and courage. It’s about being true to yourself in every aspect of your life.
