The last few weeks at work, I keep thinking of a line from Fred Claus: It hurts to grow!
My daughter and I love Christmas, especially Christmas movies. This past season, my daughter and I sat on the couch watching Elf, and my boyfriend came in and said, Are y’all gonna watch a Christmas movie every day from now until Christmas? My daughter said, Uh, yeah! And pointed to the TV saying, See? It says right there! 25 days of Christmas.
One of our favorites is Fred Claus. And our favorite scene is the “hurts to grow” scene (feel free to skip the video and just keep reading…I just think it’s a really cute clip).
So why am I thinking about that at work? Well, Body Tonic Rx is growing like crazy. It’s been evident for awhile. Seems like just a few months ago we got a new filing cabinet to make room for all the new clients we have. Now, again, we need another! Filing the the M-Zs is practically a sport! Our growth has allowed us to literally bust at the seems and expand into the space next door. Starting February 8th we are offering massage therapy and acupuncture!
We are welcoming Julie Castillo, Licensed Massage Therapist. Her modalities currently include Swedish, sports, deep tissue, and structural bodywork. Read more on our website about massage and also about Julie!
We welcome Lauren St. Pierre-Mehrens, MAcOM, L.Ac. She is NCCAOM certified in Chinese Herbs and Oriental medicine. Her education entailed 3,000 hours in Chinese acupuncture, herbs and manual therapies as well as biomedical science. She also has over 1,000 hours of clinical practice. In the coming month, we will also be bringing in spray tanning, full service waxing, and lash enhancement! All these services will be in the three new treatment rooms in our beautiful expansion next door. The space is peaceful and serene, with a true spa feel for relaxation and rejuvenation.
At the same time that we are adding services, we are also changing up and phasing out other treatments and practices. We will no longer be offering laser hair removal. We are continuing to honor our existing laser hair removal packages, but will not be accepting new laser clients.
Additionally, we will be discontinuing our Loyalty Rewards. You will absolutely be able to use the points you have already accrued, but will not accrue new points starting February 1st. In its place we are focusing on our VIP program, and re-launching all the VIP membership benefits!
