Ownership & Medical Control Disclosure
Ownership and Medical Oversight
Body Tonic Rx operates as a healthcare services organization that facilitates access to medical care provided by licensed healthcare professionals. All clinical services are delivered by qualified, licensed practitioners acting within the scope of their professional licenses.
Medical decisions, including diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and prescribing, are made solely by licensed healthcare providers. These providers exercise independent medical judgment and are not influenced by non-clinical personnel, business operations, or commercial considerations.
Medical Leadership
Body Tonic Rx maintains appropriate medical oversight through a designated Medical Director who is a licensed physician in good standing. The Medical Director is responsible for:
- Clinical governance and protocol oversight
- Ensuring adherence to applicable medical standards of care
- Supervising collaborating providers where required by law
Corporate Structure
Body Tonic Rx is organized in compliance with applicable state laws governing the corporate practice of medicine. Non-clinical administrative services, including operations, technology, and customer support, are provided by Body Tonic Rx and its affiliated entities.
These administrative services do not influence or interfere with clinical decision-making or the provider-patient relationship.
Separation of Clinical and Non-Clinical Functions
To maintain the integrity of patient care:
- Licensed providers retain full authority over all medical decisions
- Administrative staff do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe
- Compensation structures do not incentivize prescribing specific medications or treatments
Telehealth & State Compliance
Healthcare services are provided in accordance with the laws and regulations of the state in which the patient is located at the time of the consultation. Providers are licensed in the states where they deliver care, and services are only offered where legally permitted.
Prescriptions & Pharmacy Fulfillment
Prescriptions are issued only when medically appropriate following a clinical evaluation. Medications, if prescribed, are fulfilled by properly licensed U.S. pharmacies. Body Tonic Rx does not dispense medications directly unless explicitly stated and permitted by law.
Who Provides Your Care
At Body Tonic Rx, your care is delivered by experienced, licensed healthcare professionals who are committed to providing safe, personalized, and evidence-based treatment.
Licensed Medical Providers
All medical services are provided by qualified healthcare professionals, including:
- Physician: Dr. Joseph Perlman, MD

Each provider:
- Holds active licenses in the states where they practice

Your provider is solely responsible for all clinical decisions related to your care.
This includes:
- Diagnosing medical conditions

Clinical decisions are made independently, without influence from business operations, marketing, or administrative staff.
Medical Oversight
Body Tonic Rx operates under the supervision of a designated Medical Director, a licensed physician who oversees clinical protocols and ensures adherence to established standards of care.
The Medical Director:
- Provides clinical guidance and governance
- Ensures compliance with medical regulations
- Supports collaborating providers as required by state law

Every patient undergoes:

Telehealth & State Licensing
Telehealth services are provided in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Prescription medications are only provided when medically appropriate.
